Helen the woman who sent a thousand ships
The events that led up to the Trojan War began long before the war actually took place. The components included a beauty contest, an apple, an oath of a marriage, a bribe of love, an disloyal wife, and an impenetrable wall. They added up to the Trojan war that would last a decade.
The fall of Achilles
Paris who had started the war, never showed a great ideal of combat. Though his arrows occasionally hit their targets, the wounds he caused never killed anyone. However in the tenth year in the war, Paris shot an arrow that went over the walls of troy. The arrow pierced Achilles in the heel. the only vulnerable part of his body and killed him.
The Trojan war horse
Despite having lost all there great champions, Troy still would not fall. The walls of the city, built by Apollo and Poseidon, would not go down. Odysseus came up with a brilliant plan to get into the city. Using Athena's, Epeius, an artisan help, they built a big wooden horse. With many Greek soldiers inside the horse they sent it to Troy as a gift.
The fall
The Greeks waited until the Trojans had fallen into a drunken sleep after there celebration for their victory. They attacked them and seized the city in one bloody night. However the Greeks were punished by the gods. For the massacre of troy and the desecration of the temples. The God decided not to let the Greeks go home. Wrecking almost every ship. It was little help to the Trojans though. Their city had been burnt to the ground.
